Description
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Dietitian to join our Dietary Services team. This position focuses on providing nutrition care to adult and geriatric patients in a short-term acute care environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess nutritional needs and develop personalized dietary plans for patients.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Provide education and guidance to patients and their families regarding nutritional intake and health.
- Document patient progress and adjust dietary plans as necessary in the Charting System (Cerner/PowerChart).
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of Dietitian experience required.
- Experience in short-term acute care preferred.
- Experience in teaching hospitals, community hospitals, LTAC, and Level I or Level II trauma centers is a plus.
- Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) certification is required.
- No Maryland state licensure requirement specified.
Additional Information
- Able to accommodate weekend coverage, negotiable based on availability.
- No floating within scope required.
- Up to 2 pre-approved time-off requests are permitted per contract.
- Auto-approval for 14 days or less of requested time off.
- Availability needed for every other winter and summer holiday; no time off approved on critical days like Easter, Mother's Day, and Father's Day.
Working Conditions
- Average daily census of 10-12 patients within the Dietary Services unit.
- Shift: Day shift (5x8 hours), from 08:00 AM to 04:30 PM.
- Scrub color: Purple.
