Registered Nurse (RN) - Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) provides comprehensive and holistic care to patients and their families. This position involves a combination of independent, collaborative, and delegated nursing functions as outlined by specific standards and competencies relevant to the care unit. The RN's scope of practice encompasses patients across all age groups, including neonates, infants, children, young adults, adults, and older adults.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments, formulate nursing diagnoses, and identify patient outcomes.
• Develop, implement, and revise individual plans of care for patients.
• Coordinate patient care among interdisciplinary teams and delegate tasks to other care providers as needed.
• Participate in shared accountability and decision-making within nursing practices.
• Engage in activities that define, implement, and enhance practice standards and the overall environment of care.
• Promote exceptional patient care through active participation in nursing practice.

Qualifications:

• 2 Years Critical Care Experience (ICU/ED)
• 2 Years PACU Experience
• ICU Critical Care Experience
• Previous Travel Experience
• Epic Experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (AHA or ARC)
• Proficiency in interpreting cardiac rhythms
• Experience with a diverse patient population, including pediatric to geriatric
• Trauma Level I Experience

Work Schedule:

• Shifts available: 0700-1530, 0900-1730, 1100-1930, 1500-2330
• 40-Hour guarantee
• Weekend Requirements: Every 3rd weekend
