Overview

The Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) position is focused on providing high-quality nursing care to patients on a medical cardiology unit. This role involves critical monitoring of patients' cardiac status, administering medications, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient care.

Unit Description

This is a 24-bed medical cardiology unit where nurses will work closely with telemetry patients and exhibit expertise in cardiac care.

Responsibilities

• Interpret telemetry strips and monitor cardiac rhythms.
• Administer cardiac drips and manage medication protocols.
• Provide post-catheterization care for procedures such as PCI, ICD, PPM, and ablation.
• Utilize TR Band and femoral approach techniques for patient care.
• Maintain patient safety and comfort while adhering to best practices.

Qualifications

• Must possess 2+ years of nursing experience with a strong background in cardiology.
• Experience as a traveling nurse is required.
• Ability to manage a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5 during the day and 1:6 at night.

Certifications and Licenses

• Active RN license in Massachusetts.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification is preferred.
