Adult to Geriatric patients.
Certifications Required
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
General Skills and Work Setting Requirements
The role involves working in the Main OR, with responsibilities including both circulating and scrubbing for the following specialties:
- General Surgery
- Neuro Surgery
- Spine Surgery
- Orthopedics
- Robotics
- Urology
- Vascular Surgery
- Colorectal Surgery
Work Environment
- 16 operating rooms with an average daily census of 35.
- Utilizes Epic and Pyxis systems and features 2 Da Vinci XI Robots.
- Scrub color is provided by the facility.
Scheduling Requirements
- Maximum of 7 days of requested time off (RTO); blackout dates include Spring Break (April 4th - 12th).
- Will work 2–3 weekends per 8-week schedule, either on-site or available on call.
- Scheduled for 7-8 call shifts in an 8-week period, including 1 weekend call and 1-2 weekend shifts.
- Weekday night call shifts will also be required.
Holiday Expectations
Travelers are expected to work during major holidays as follows:
- One major holiday: expected to work one.
- Two major holidays: expected to work both.
- Three major holidays: expected to work at least two.
Major holidays include:
- Memorial Day
- Independence Day
- Labor Day
- Thanksgiving/Black Friday
- Christmas Eve/Christmas Day
- New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
Compliance and Screening
Full compliance with requirements is necessary to start on time; delays may push back the start date due to bi-weekly orientation schedules. Candidates will undergo a clinical review to determine fit, followed by management approval.
Local Candidates
Local candidates are accepted and will receive the same rate of consideration.
Orientation Hours
The number of non-billable orientation hours is determined by contract length (e.g., 8 hours for an 8-week assignment; 10 hours for a 10-week assignment).
