Job Overview

The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide high-quality nursing care in a long-term care setting. The position involves working night shifts, with a schedule of three 12-hour shifts from 18:30 to 07:00, and rotation every other weekend and some holidays.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to residents in accordance with established protocols and best practices.
• Assume charge duties, which may require being the sole RN in the facility during night shifts.
• Implement Bed Side Shift Reporting (BSSR), utilize AIDET (Acknowledge, Introduce, Duration, Explanation, Thank You), and conduct hourly rounding for all nursing units.
• Collaborate with a team consisting of a Med Tech in each hall, and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) with a staffing ratio of 1:8-10 on day shifts and 1:20 on night shifts.
• Ensure adherence to policies and procedures to maintain a safe and comfortable environment for residents.

Qualifications

• Active RN license required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) is mandatory.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in long-term care is required.

Shift Information

This position involves working three night shifts per week, each consisting of 12 hours, from 18:30 to 07:00. Weekend rotation and holiday availability are also required.
