Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join our team on a night shift schedule. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to provide care for patients in the Respiratory unit while ensuring adherence to clinical protocols and procedures.

Shift and Schedule

• Night shifts: 3x12 hours (19:00 - 07:00)
• Commitment to work every other weekend
• Must be available for 2 out of 3 winter holidays
• Requests for time off around Christmas may not be approved

Qualifications

• Current RRT certification and BLS certification are required
• A minimum of 4 years of experience is preferred; candidates with 2+ years of experience will be considered
• ACCS certification is preferred
• Must hold a Virginia state license (pending applications are acceptable if a temporary license can be obtained prior to start)
• Another state license is required to qualify for the temporary license

Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory therapy treatments according to established protocols
• Monitor and evaluate patient responses to therapies
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to optimize patient care
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
• Provide education to patients and their families regarding respiratory health
