Shift Information
This position includes evening and night shifts from 1900 to 0730, with a schedule of 12-hour shifts. The role requires every other weekend and some holiday availability. For travel nurses, 4x12 scheduling and blocked weekend options are available based on preference.
Unit Information
Responsibilities will primarily take place in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU).
Role Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients in the CVICU.
- Monitor and assess patient conditions continuously.
- Perform advanced medical procedures and therapies as required.
- Utilize the NextStage CVVH machine effectively.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Qualifications
- Current RN license is required.
- Previous CVICU experience is mandatory.
- Proficiency in using the NextStage CVVH machine is necessary.
- Experience in cardiothoracic surgery and/or acuity adaptable areas is preferred.
- AHA BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
Additional Requirements
The traveler must successfully pass a telemetry test prior to starting the position.
