Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical/Surgical Telemetry

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit. This role involves providing exceptional patient care while ensuring adherence to all protocols and standards. The position requires a commitment to floating to other units or facilities as necessary to meet the operational needs of the healthcare system.

Shift Details

• Schedule: 3x12 hour shifts
• Days: 0700 - 1930
• Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend, subject to variation based on unit needs

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care using the EPIC documentation system.
• Administer medications through the Omnicell system.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, particularly in Telemetry, ER Holding, and Cardiac Tele.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Participate in training and mentorship of new staff as needed.

Qualifications

• Current South Carolina Registered Nurse license.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role, with preference given to candidates with experience in Telemetry, ER Holding, and Cardiac Tele.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.

Additional Information

This position is open to first-time travelers based on relevant experience. Candidates must be adaptable and willing to float to other units or facilities as required.
