Shift Information
This position involves weekend evening shifts from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM, with the following schedule:
- Saturday: 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM
- Sunday: 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM
- Monday/Tuesday: Off
- Wednesday: 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM
- Thursday: Off
- Friday: 6:00 AM - 8:30 PM
Another shift configuration includes:
- Saturday: 6:00 AM - 8:30 PM
- Sunday: 6:00 AM - 8:30 PM
- Monday/Tuesday: Off
- Wednesday: 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM
- Thursday: Off
- Friday: 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM
Position Summary
The Registered Nurse position supports daily nursing activities within a long-term care environment. This role demands precision, keen attention to detail, and a strong commitment to delivering exemplary healthcare services.
Essential Job Duties
- Provide timely communication to physicians and families regarding any significant changes in resident conditions.
- Complete all relevant resident assessments thoroughly.
- Administer medications while adhering to the five rights of medication administration.
- Perform wound care and assessments as necessary.
- Assist Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) with responding to call lights.
- Monitor residents for any changes in health status.
- Act as a leader on the floor, assessing and directing situations as needed.
- Report any allegations of abuse, neglect, or misappropriation to the Director of Nursing and the Administrator.
- Ensure accurate resident records through diligent and precise charting.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of an associate degree in nursing is required; a bachelor's degree is preferred.
- Must possess and maintain a valid Wisconsin Registered Nursing license.
- Current CPR/BLS certification is required.
- While 1+ years of related work experience is preferred, consideration will be given to candidates with an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Demonstrated exceptional accuracy and attention to detail is essential.
Holiday Coverage
Holiday coverage is required for this position.
