Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Respiratory Therapist to join our dynamic team. The chosen candidate will work nights and provide essential patient care within the respiratory unit. This position requires a commitment to working every other weekend and at least two out of three winter holidays.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory therapy treatments to patients as ordered by physicians.
• Monitor and assess patients' respiratory status and treatment responses.
• Collaborate with the medical team to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in accordance with regulations.
• Educate patients and their families about respiratory care and equipment usage.

Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience in respiratory therapy is preferred; however, candidates with at least 2 years of experience may also be considered.
• ACCS certification is preferred.
• Ability to work nights and commit to weekend and holiday shifts as required.
• Candidate must possess a valid state license, with the possibility of a pending Virginia license if a temporary license can be obtained prior to starting.

Shift Information

• Night shift, 4x12-hour schedule (19:00 - 07:00).
• No block scheduling available.
