Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality respiratory care in a clinical setting, ensuring the health and well-being of patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory therapy treatments and procedures as prescribed by medical staff.
• Monitor and assess patient progress and responses to therapy.
• Maintain accurate records of patient care and interventions.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans.
• Educate patients and families on respiratory therapy techniques and equipment usage.

Schedule

This position will require a commitment to a full-time schedule consisting of 52 weeks, with shifts scheduled for nights, specifically 3x12 hours from 19:00 to 07:00.

The successful candidate must be available to work every other weekend and every other holiday, with the requirement to work two out of three winter holidays. RTO requests around Christmas cannot be accommodated.

Qualifications

• Current RRT certification and BLS certification required.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience in respiratory therapy is preferred; candidates with at least 2 years of experience may be considered.
• Preferred candidates will have an ACCS certification.
• A valid license to practice as a Respiratory Therapist is required; candidates may be considered with a pending Virginia license provided they can obtain a temporary license before starting, alongside an active license from another state.
