Registered Nurse (RN) - Med/Surg/Telemetry Float

Position Overview

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Med/Surg/Telemetry Float position will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care across various medical-surgical units. The role requires flexibility and adaptability to work in different units, including cardiac, spine, and neuro, while providing comprehensive nursing care to patients in a fast-paced environment.

Shift Details

• Days: 3x12-Hour Shifts (07:00 - 19:30)
• Every other weekend and holidays as applicable to operations

Key Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered nursing care in multiple Med/Surg units.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, providing timely interventions as needed.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using the Epic electronic health record system.
• Communicate effectively with patients and families regarding care plans and changes in condition.

Qualifications

• Experience working in various Med/Surg units including cardiac, spine, and neuro.
• Current Wisconsin RN or compact license is required.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association is required.
• Telemetry certification is required; candidates must pass a telemetry test prior to starting the position.
• Experience with Epic electronic health records is mandatory.
