Certified OR Tech / Surgical Tech (CST)

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Certified OR Tech to join our surgical team. The ideal candidate will have strong proficiency in orthopedics, neurosurgery, and general surgical procedures. This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced surgical environment while maintaining a high standard of patient care.

Scheduling Details

Shift Hours: 4x10s, 11:00 AM - 9:00 PM, with random days off
Weekend Requirement: Rotation with staff
On-Call Requirement: Participation in call rotation with staff
Holiday Requirement: Must work one holiday every 13-week contract

Required License and Certifications

BLS Certification
Certification from NBSTSA, NCCT, or military OR Tech Certification accepted
VA or other state license required (travelers with out-of-state licenses must obtain a VA state license)

Required Clinical Skills

Strong experience in general surgery, orthopedic surgery (especially total joints), and neurosurgery
Preferred experience with complex cases including abdominal, cranial, and orthopedic trauma
Robotic training is highly preferred

Unit Details

Patient Population: Neonates, Infants, Pediatrics, Geriatrics, and Adults
Level I Trauma Operating Room with 25 OR suites and 24/7 nursing coverage
Services Include: General surgery, orthopedics, neurosurgery, plastics, gynecology, oncology, robotic surgery, ENT, ophthalmology, pediatrics, and sports medicine
Special Equipment: ROSA, Si and Xi da Vinci robots, Stealth, O-Arm, HIPEC
