About the Position
We are seeking an experienced Stepdown Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. This position requires strong clinical skills and the ability to provide quality patient care in a stepdown environment.
Shift Details
- Shift: 3x12 hours, Days (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM)
- Holiday Rotation: Required
- Shift Ratios: 1:4
- Weekend Requirement: Yes, every other weekend
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a stepdown/unit environment.
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, responding to changes as needed.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Float between like units as necessary, similar to current staff expectations.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required, with prior ICU and/or Stepdown experience preferred.
- License: South Carolina license or compact license must be in hand prior to start.
- Certifications Required: ACLS, BLS.
- Certifications Preferred: NIHSS.
Additional Requirements
- Must be willing to participate in a holiday rotation.
- Emergency response duties may be required during hurricane season (June through November).
- Approval for block scheduling may be requested but is not guaranteed.
Miscellaneous
- Guaranteed Hours: The facility is allowed to cancel 1 shift per 2 weeks.
- Parking: Free parking available.
