Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Pediatric ICU Registered Nurse (RN) to join our healthcare team. This position requires a commitment to providing exceptional care to pediatric patients and a collaborative spirit in a demanding environment.
Shift Details
- Evening/Night shifts: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
- 3x12 hour scheduled shifts
- Every other weekend required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to pediatric patients in critical condition.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to the healthcare team.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement care plans.
- Educate families and caregivers about patient conditions and care plans.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient records using Epic electronic health records.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Pediatric ICU nursing.
- 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years is required.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license is mandatory.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications required (AHA only).
- Candidates must successfully pass a telemetry assessment before starting the role.
- Experience with Epic electronic health records is required.
