Description

Dietitian

Position Overview

This role involves providing medical nutrition therapy to adult patients in both acute care and progressive care settings at a Level I Trauma Center. The Dietitian will manage nutrition support, including enteral nutrition (EN) and parenteral nutrition (PN), tailored to individual patient needs.

Key Responsibilities

Provide Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) to patients across various disease states.
Manage nutrition support including customized parenteral nutrition, focusing on macro and micronutrient management.
Engage in plan of care rounds with the interdisciplinary team.
Provide dietary education and counseling to patients and their families.

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of experience in an intensive care unit (ICU) and nutrition support.
Experience with customized parenteral nutrition, including macronutrient and micronutrient management.
Registered Dietitian status required.
Ability to work collaboratively with a healthcare team.

Additional Information

Daily Case Load: 6-10 patients.
Scheduled shifts: Day shifts, Monday through Friday (5x8-hour shifts).
Parking available at no cost.
No local candidates will be considered within a 100-mile radius.
Pending state license is accepted.
Greater than 7 days of requested time off requires approval.
