Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Neuro ICU Registered Nurse to join our team. The preferred start date is ASAP. This position offers a flexible contract term of 13 weeks, with the possibility to extend up to 26 weeks upon request.
Schedule
The standard shift for this role is 3x12-hour days, from 06:45 to 19:15, with the option to request a 4x12-hour schedule if desired.
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Experience in a large Level 1 or Level 2 facility
- Proven neuro experience in an ICU setting
- Proficiency with Epic electronic health record system
Patient Population
The Neuro ICU cares for patients with a variety of complex conditions, including:
- Stroke
- Neurosurgery
- Neuro-specific diagnoses and complications
- Complex spine issues
Special Procedures
As part of this role, you will be involved in special procedures, including:
- External Ventricular Drains (EVDs)
- Therapeutic Thermoregulation
Key Responsibilities
The Neuro ICU Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to critically ill neuro patients, ensuring safety and comfort, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes.
