Job Description
We are currently seeking a skilled Neuro ICU Registered Nurse (RN) for an immediate start position. This role is critical for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced, specialized environment.
Position Details
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks, with the potential to extend up to 26 weeks upon request.
- Shift: 3x12 hour days (06:45 AM - 07:15 PM), with the option for 4x12-hour shifts available upon request.
Responsibilities
The Neuro ICU RN will be responsible for:
- Monitoring and managing patients with neurological conditions, including stroke, neurosurgery, and complex spine issues.
- Providing care for neuro-specific diagnoses and complications.
- Administering special procedures such as external ventricular drains (EVDs) and therapeutic thermoregulation.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) licensure.
- Experience in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) setting, specifically in neuro care.
- Proficiency in using the Epic electronic health record system.
- Experience within a large Level 1/Level 2 facility.
