Job Overview

The Vascular Technician plays a crucial role in the healthcare team by performing specialized diagnostic imaging tests to assist in the evaluation and treatment of vascular conditions. This position is essential for providing high-quality patient care through the use of advanced technology.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct non-invasive vascular examinations, including Doppler studies and ultrasound imaging.
• Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process and ensuring their comfort.
• Maintain and operate imaging equipment in accordance with established protocols.
• Document all imaging results accurately and efficiently in patient records.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to interpret test results.
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards in all procedures.
• Participate in continuing education and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.

Qualifications

• Certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Diagnostic Sonographer (RCDS) or certification from the American Society of Echocardiography (ASE) is required.
• Previous experience in vascular imaging is preferred.
• Strong understanding of anatomy and physiology related to the vascular system.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Work Environment

This position may require taking call as needed. The work environment will involve patient interaction and the use of advanced imaging technology.
