Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Echo Tech/Cardiac Sonographer with a minimum of one year of experience. The ideal candidate will have experience in adult acute care and outpatient settings, specifically within the emergency department and intensive care unit (ICU). This position requires expertise in a wide range of echocardiographic procedures and familiarity with the necessary technology and protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform echocardiograms, including 2-D Echo, 3-D Echo, and Transesophageal Echocardiograms (TEE).
• Conduct specialized studies such as Bubble Studies, Color Doppler, and Pharmacologic Stress Echo.
• Execute routine echocardiographic examinations in ICU/ED settings, adhering to established protocols and patient safety standards.
• Utilize GE and Philips imaging systems alongside Meditech documentation and PACS.
• Maintain proper isolation precautions and utilize appropriate PPE during procedures.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in an acute care environment.
• Traveler experience is required; first-time travelers will not be accepted.
• Community hospital experience is essential.
• Proficiency in Meditech and PACS systems is required.
• Must possess ARDMS RDCS AE certification.

Contract Details:

• Duration: 13-week contracts available.
• Shift: Day shift, 5x8 hours from 07:00 to 16:00.
• Average daily census of 10 patients.
• No call, float, or weekend requirements.

Orientation:

• 16 hours of unit orientation will be provided.
• Hospital orientation is scheduled for the first week; availability for daily classes is required.

Please note, all requests for time off (RTO) will be reviewed, but working it out onsite after booking is not permitted. Call offs or additional RTO may lead to cancellations. An EKG test must be passed prior to starting this specialty.
