Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU). In this role, you will provide high-quality patient care for adults with diverse and acute medical conditions, including cardiac, neurological, renal, infectious diseases, and pulmonary issues. You will be responsible for coordinating direct patient care and delivering patient education.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to acutely ill adult patients.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Monitor patient conditions and respond to changes effectively.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions and treatments.
• Document patient care activities and maintain accurate medical records.

Work Schedule

This position requires coverage every other Saturday, with Sundays off. The shift will consist of three 12-hour night shifts, scheduled from 18:45 to 07:15.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS.
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility.

Additional Information

The nurse-to-patient ratio on this unit is 1:5. Charting is conducted using Meditech software. Parking is free in any unrestricted space.
