Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Nurse to join our surgical team. This role requires proficiency in various surgical specialties and the ability to provide exceptional patient care during surgical procedures.

Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts nursing license.
• Experience in neuro, orthopedic trauma, and kidney transplant procedures is required.
• Ability to scrub and/or circulate in general surgery, robotics, transplants, orthopedic, neuro, spine, ENT, GYN, urology, organ procurement, and trauma.

Role Responsibilities

• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.
• Assist in a range of surgical procedures across multiple specialties.
• Perform patient assessments and prepare patients for surgery.
• Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to infection control protocols.
• Participate in on-going education and training opportunities.

Work Schedule

This position offers 12-hour night shifts with no on-call duties. However, work during holidays and weekends may be required. Orientation sessions are held weekly, every Monday barring holidays.

Additional Information

The operating room environment includes 10 operating rooms focusing on inpatient level I trauma surgery. The team handles a diverse array of surgical procedures, including bariatric, neurosurgery, ENT, orthopedic trauma, spine, major plastic reconstruction, robotic surgery, and kidney and liver transplants.

Please note that candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility will not be considered. Those who have worked at this organization as permanent or per diem staff within the last six months are also ineligible.
