Job Description

This position requires a highly skilled and experienced Surgical Technologist with extensive knowledge and experience in various surgical disciplines, including orthopedic, neurological, and vascular surgery. Candidates without a comprehensive range of current experience will not be considered.

Work Hours

A Surgical Technologist will typically work 36-40 hours per week, with scheduling options including three 12-hour shifts, four 10-hour shifts, or five 8-hour shifts. Actual hours and shifts will be mutually agreed upon during the phone interview.

Call Requirements

Approximately every 5th weekend will be designated as a call weekend, with an expectation of 1-2 calls per week. The call volume may increase based on department needs. A 30-minute response time is required from the moment of the call to arrival on site. Holiday call rotation may also be necessary, dependent on patient census and staffing levels.

Additional Requirements

Candidates must be graduates of an accredited surgical technology program. Strong critical thinking skills and knowledge of central processing and instrumentation are essential for success in this role. Candidates with minimal requests for time off (RTO) will receive priority consideration.
