We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our inpatient team. This role is essential in providing quality rehabilitative care to patients as part of our commitment to health and wellness.

Job Responsibilities

• Administer physical modalities and procedures as directed by a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Implement and carry out patient care plans in compliance with State of Ohio laws and regulations.
• Demonstrate professional conduct in alignment with the American Physical Therapy Association's Standards of Ethical Conduct for Physical Therapist Assistants.
• Assist in various care settings, which may include Acute Care, Rehabilitation Unit, Transitional Care Unit, Pediatrics, Outpatient services, and Wellness Center.
• Work closely with patients and their families to communicate treatment goals and progress.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• Experience in inpatient rehabilitation and acute care is preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program recognized by the American Physical Therapy Association.
• Active Physical Therapist Assistant license in the State of Ohio.
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong initiative and the ability to listen attentively.
• Comprehensive knowledge of physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy principles.
• Leadership qualities and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds, supporting patients as needed.
• Proficient in using various physical therapy equipment and technology.
• Good public speaking skills and near visual acuity for patient engagement and assessment.
