Description
The Staff Registered Nurse (RN) will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of dialysis treatments and patient care. The RN will play a critical role in educating patients, supervising Dialysis Technicians, and adjusting treatment plans according to established protocols. The position involves monitoring patient outcomes, administering medications, participating in quality improvement projects, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary care team, including social workers, dietitians, and nephrologists.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide education to patients regarding dialysis treatments and care plans.
- Supervise the activities of Dialysis Technicians.
- Adjust treatment plans as per standing orders and care plans.
- Monitor patient outcomes and report changes as necessary.
- Administer medications and interventions as prescribed.
- Participate in quality improvement projects aimed at enhancing patient care.
- Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive patient support.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license from the state board or Multi-State Compact Nurse license.
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience, with a requirement for prior dialysis experience.
- Experience in Acute or Ambulatory Nursing is preferred.
- Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers and additional relevant certifications.
Work Schedule
The position requires flexibility as the RN will cover multiple clinic locations and may be scheduled to work any shift, including AM and PM shifts, Monday through Saturday.
Coverage Areas
The RN will be required to provide services across multiple locations within the region.
