Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Critical Care Float Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Float Pool team. This position involves working in various ICU units, providing high-quality care to patients across different critical care populations.

Shift Information

• Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30)
• Schedule: 12-hour shifts with every other weekend rotation and some holidays
• Alternative scheduling options available: 4x12s and weekend blocked scheduling

Responsibilities

The Critical Care Float RN will be responsible for the following:

• Providing direct patient care to a variety of ICU patients, including those in Neuro ICU, Cardiothoracic ICU, Burn ICU, and Trauma Surgery.
• Working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Monitoring patients' conditions and implementing appropriate interventions as necessary.
• Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Participating in patient and family education regarding care plans and ongoing health management.

Qualifications

• Current Wisconsin RN or Compact RN license required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA only).
• Experience working in multiple ICU units is preferred.
• Ability to successfully pass a telemetry test prior to starting the role.
