Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced medical-surgical environment.
Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in accordance with established protocols and standards.
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, including vital signs and responses to treatments.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including managing nasal cannula and oxygen therapy.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and modify patient care plans.
- Educate patients and families regarding health conditions and care plans.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities.
Shift Information
- Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, rotating between days and nights.
- Weekend requirement: Every other weekend.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in Medical Surgical/Telemetry nursing.
- Current RN license in Pennsylvania or multi-state/compact RN license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Experience with nasal cannula, oxygen administration, and oxygen tank management is essential.
- Preferred experience in Medical Surgical/Telemetry nursing.
Miscellaneous
- Floating: No floating required within the scope to meet facility needs.
- Local candidates residing within a 50-mile radius will not be accepted.
- Block schedule requests are subject to manager approval based on unit needs.
- All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application.
- Scrub color for this position is navy blue.
