Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. This position requires a commitment to patient care, collaboration with healthcare professionals, and adherence to high standards of clinical practice.

Work Schedule

• Shift: 3x12 hours, Days (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM)
• Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend
• Holidays: Required (Thanksgiving or Christmas, pending unit need)

Patient Care and Responsibilities

• Staffing Ratios: 1:6
• Total Beds: 54
• Floating: May be required to float within scope to meet facility needs or between similar units.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of Med Surg experience required.
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply.
• A valid SC license or Compact license is required prior to start.
• Certifications: BLS and ACLS required.
• IV start skills required; experience in telemetry and management of cardiac medications is preferred.

Additional Information

• Local Candidates: Accepted on a case-by-case basis.
• All requests for time off must be submitted at the time of application.
• Guaranteed hours: Facility is allowed to call off 1 shift every 2 weeks.
• Parking: Free in any unrestricted space.

Considerations

Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June to November), all staff may be reassigned to emergency response teams as needed. Please take this into consideration when applying for new assignments during this period.
