Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and skilled CVOR Technician to join our surgical services team. This role is essential in providing high-quality care in the cardiac and thoracic surgery units, ensuring the safety and comfort of patients during surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with cardiac and thoracic surgeries, including ECMO, CABG, LVAD, thoracic robot Davinci Xi, lobectomy, VATS, lung resection, and mitral valve procedures.
• Prepare and maintain sterile environments and surgical instruments.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to support efficient operations during procedures.
• Participate in weekend on-call rotations as required.

Qualifications

• Two years of scrub experience in a surgical setting.
• Experience in cardiac and thoracic procedures is required.
• Transplant experience (kidney and liver) is essential.
• Completion of a surgical technologist program, or equivalent experience may be accepted in lieu of program completion.
• AHA BLS certification is required.
• Teaching and Level I hospital experience is preferred.
• Trach experience is required.

Schedule

This position typically involves 12-hour shifts from 10:40 AM to 11:10 PM, Monday through Friday, with weekend call starting at 3:00 PM on Friday and concluding at 7:00 AM on Monday. Please note that you will not be scheduled for the Friday you are on weekend call. An option for 4x12 shifts may be considered.

Orientation

Successful candidates will undergo a two-week orientation program that consists of five 8-hour shifts from 6:40 AM to 3:10 PM.
