We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for a Med/Surg IMC, ER Border position. This role requires a combination of skills to provide high-quality care in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Position Details

• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Night Shift, 3x12 hours (19:30 - 08:00)
• Average Daily Census: Minimum of 10 borders, up to 40 borders daily
• Rooms: 46
• Patient Ratio: 1:6
• Patient Diagnoses: Wide variety, including complex ED admission diagnoses

Key Responsibilities

• Provide patient care within the scope of the Med/Surg, Telemetry, and Intermediary Care settings.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Float between ED borders and extenders based on workload and patient care needs.
• Maintain professional relationships with patients and their families, ensuring effective communication and patient education.
• Meet all weekend and holiday scheduling requirements as per the staffing guidelines.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required; first-time travelers are accepted.
• Current RN license in the state of Maryland is mandatory.
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, CPI.

Additional Information

• Shifts are scheduled for 36 hours per week, requiring every other weekend commitment.
• Floating between units is necessary based on patient care needs.
• The position is suited for individuals who thrive in a dynamic healthcare environment.
