Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Histology Technician to join our team. As a vital member of the laboratory, you will be responsible for preparing and processing tissue samples for analysis, ensuring the highest quality standards in histological techniques.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and embed tissue samples for microscopic examination.
- Perform sectioning of tissue samples, ensuring high-quality slides for diagnostic analysis.
- Maintain and operate histology equipment and instruments.
- Perform staining procedures and ensure accurate results.
- Adhere to laboratory safety and quality control protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of specimens and related information.
- Collaborate effectively with pathologists and other laboratory personnel.
Qualifications
- ASCP (HT or HTL) certification is required.
- Florida state license to practice as a histology technician is required.
- 1-2 years of experience in a histology laboratory setting.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage time efficiently.
Work Schedule
This is a full-time position working five days a week from Tuesday to Saturday, on the day shift from 11:30 AM to 8:00 PM.
