Description
We are currently seeking a skilled Interventional Radiology Technologist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience in interventional radiology procedures and a strong background in neuro interventions.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and assist with interventional radiology procedures, ensuring a sterile environment.
- Perform scrubbing duties for IR procedures and assist the medical team as required.
- Administer medications and assist with patient monitoring during procedures.
- Ensure proper documentation and compliance with safety protocols.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in interventional radiology, particularly with neuro cases.
- Required certifications: ARRT, ARRT (CV), and BLS Certification.
- Experience with various interventional procedures including, but not limited to: embolization, Y90, carotid stents, and trans-jugular liver biopsies.
- Ability to work effectively with adult patients, with occasional care required for pediatric patients (ages 0-18).
Work Environment
- Two interventional radiology suites with shared neuro and hybrid room capabilities.
- Average of 15 cases per day.
- Utilization of Epic and Phillips EMR systems.
- Opportunity to participate in a supportive and cohesive team environment.
Scheduling
- 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM) with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.
- Set days off with some variability allowed based on PTO.
- Optional on-call responsibilities for weeknights and weekends; call response time is within 30 minutes.
- Holiday call responsibilities are optional.
Additional Information
- Casual dress code with hospital-provided scrubs; shoes must remain on-site.
- One day of unit-specific orientation for new hires.
