Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Med Surg and Obstetrics (OB) to join our team. This role involves providing comprehensive care to patients in both medical-surgical and obstetric settings, while contributing to a collaborative healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in the Med Surg and OB units.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, and execute individualized nursing care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Assist with OB-related procedures and support expectant mothers during labor and delivery.

Shift Requirements

• Day/Night Rotate
• 12-hour shifts, 48 hours per week.
• Every other weekend and holiday required.
• 3 Call shifts required within a 13-week contract.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience, including 6 months in Med Surg and 6 months in OB within the last year.
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NRP.
• Preferred certifications include TNCC.
• Strong ability to function independently in both Med Surg and OB units.

Unit Information

• Unit Type: Obstetrics (OB)
• Bed Size: 25 beds
• Nurse to Patient Ratio: 3-4:1 in Med Surg, depending on census and acuity.
• Equipment utilized: Sanford One Charge, Pixis.

Professional Development

• Training includes EPIC Computer training, 1 day of OB training, and 1 day of Med Surg training.

Dress Code

• Navy blue scrubs required; no logos. White may be worn under the uniform or as a lab coat.
