Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care in the cardiac catheterization lab, utilizing their expertise and skills to support diagnostic and interventional procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with various cardiac procedures while ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Monitor and assess patient conditions throughout procedures.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using electronic charting systems.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and promote best practices.
Qualifications
- Must hold a valid Registered Nurse (RN) License for Alaska (AK) or have a pending license accepted, with the requirement to have the license in hand for auto-offer.
- A minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with a focus on cath lab or critical care preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications are required.
- Demonstrated ability to float within the scope of nursing practice, with opportunities to support electrophysiology (EP) or interventional radiology (IR) departments as needed.
Schedule and Requirements
- Shift: 4x10 Days.
- On-call responsibilities include one day per week and every 4th/5th weekend.
- Weekend coverage will require on-call rotation and approximately one Saturday per month as part of the scheduled shifts.
- Time off requests will be considered on an individual basis, restricted to one request per 13-week assignment.
