Job Description
An exciting opportunity for a dedicated Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join a fast-paced healthcare environment focused on providing exceptional patient care. The nursing role entails working within a Level 1 Trauma Emergency Department, where a significant percentage of patients are admitted.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer medications, including intravenous medications, following established protocols.
- Document and communicate clinical findings effectively.
- Adhere to established nursing protocols and the seven rights of medication administration.
- Accept responsibility for patient care in a dynamic and high-intensity environment.
- Participate in maintaining a safe and clean environment for patients and staff.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant nursing experience; level 1 trauma experience is preferred.
- Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NIH, PALS, TNCC.
- Registered Nurse (RN) license; a pending license is accepted at the time of submission.
- Travel experience is strongly preferred, but candidates with 2+ years of Level 1 experience may be considered.
Work Environment
The Emergency Department will feature a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5. Nurses will be required to work various shifts, including weekends as needed. Floating to pediatric emergency care can be optional, while floating to adult patient care units may be expected based on staffing needs.
Additional Information
- Travelers will be required to work on holidays, including Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day, to qualify for holiday pay.
- Weekend days include Saturday and Sunday, with weekend nights encompassing Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
- Guaranteed hours based on contracted agreements.
COVID-19 Considerations
COVID vaccination is optional, and reporting of vaccination numbers is required.
