Description

Registered Nurse (RN) - SSSU/PACU

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in the SSSU/PACU department. This position involves providing comprehensive nursing care within various outpatient services, including Pre-operative, Post-operative, and Phase II recovery.

Shift Information

Schedule: 4 shifts of 10 hours
Day Shift with a shared on-call rotation

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of experience in SSSU, PACU, Pre-operative, or Post-operative nursing
Current certifications in ACLS, BLS/BCLS, and PALS

Key Responsibilities

Provide nursing care in the Pre-operative Clinic, Day Surgery, Endoscopy Lab, and Post Anesthesia Care Unit
Floats to various areas within the Outpatient Services as needed
Administer conscious sedation for special procedures
Conduct nursing assessments and provide peri-operative education and care
Recognize and respond to post-anesthesia and post-operative complications

Additional Requirements

Holiday coverage may be required
