Job Description

The Registered Nurse delivers quality nursing care through the utilization of the nursing process. This role requires collaboration with other healthcare team members to maintain high standards for professional nursing practice. The RN will carry out functions according to hospital policies, the organization's mission, and standards of practice defined by professional and regulatory guidelines.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Assess the physical, psychosocial, and educational needs of patients.
• Plan and implement nursing care tailored to patient and family needs.
• Make appropriate interventions based on individual patient requirements.
• Evaluate patient responses to nursing interventions.
• Assume personal responsibility for quality patient care, patient satisfaction, environment, and professional development.

Shift Notes

This position involves three 12-hour shifts per week with a 36-hour guaranteed weekly schedule. Candidates are expected to work every other weekend.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience is required.
• Completion of at least one travel assignment is required.
• Cerner EMR experience is preferred.
• ACLS certification is preferred.

Certification Requirements

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Active Michigan nursing license is required at the time of submission.

Attendance Policy

There is a strict attendance policy in place to maintain quality patient care. Any RN contractor who is absent from a scheduled shift or arrives more than 20 minutes late for their scheduled shift three times will face immediate termination. Exceptions will be considered for circumstances such as communicable diseases or hospitalization, with supporting evidence.
