Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic team. This position involves providing high-quality nursing care primarily in a Medical Surgical Telemetry unit. The RN will be responsible for delivering compassionate care to a diverse group of surgical and medical patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients in the Medical Surgical Telemetry unit.
• Conduct assessments, develop care plans, and implement interventions.
• Monitor and interpret telemetry strips as part of patient assessment.
• Administer medications and perform necessary medical procedures.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to optimize patient outcomes.
• Float between all Medical Surgical Telemetry units as required.
• Participate in patient and family education.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of recent acute Medical Surgical nursing experience with telemetry nursing required.
• Licensure: Current Registered Nurse license in the state of Massachusetts.
• Certifications: Current CPR and ACLS certification required.
• Epic electronic health record experience is mandatory.
• Must be able to pass a Dysrhythmia (20 questions) and Medication (20 questions) test during onboarding with a minimum score of 85%.
• Ability to comply with flu vaccination requirements, with exceptions only for medical reasons.
• Must have been separated from previous employment for at least 6 months and in good standing.

Important Notes

This unit operates without telemetry technicians, which requires all RNs to be proficient in reading and interpreting their own telemetry strips. It is essential to prepare for the onboarding testing using the provided study guide.
