Description
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a dynamic Medical Surgical Telemetry unit. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills and be comfortable with a varied patient population, including surgical and overflow medical patients.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients within the Medical Surgical Telemetry unit.
- Interpret and manage telemetry readings; all nurses are expected to analyze their own ECG strips.
- Float between all Medical Surgical Telemetry units as needed.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Qualifications
- Education: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years recent acute Medical Surgical nursing experience, specifically with telemetry.
- Licensure: Current Registered Nurse license in Massachusetts.
- Certifications: CPR and ACLS certification required.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in using Epic and other electronic health record systems.
- Ability to pass ECG/Telemetry and Medications tests with a minimum score of 85% as a part of the onboarding process.
Additional Requirements
- Flu vaccination is mandatory unless a valid medical exemption is provided.
- Candidates must have been separated from employment with previous organizations for at least 6 months and be in good standing.
