Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) with recent acute Medical Surgical and Telemetry nursing experience. This position requires the ability to float between various medical-surgical telemetry units as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to a diverse array of surgical and medical patients.
• Read and interpret ECG strips; all nurses are expected to perform this duty as there are no telemetry technicians available on the unit.
• Participate in all aspects of patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to optimize patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of recent acute Medical Surgical and Telemetry nursing experience required.
• Licensure: Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Massachusetts is required.
• Skills/Certifications: CPR and ACLS certifications are required. Epic experience is mandatory.

Testing Requirements

Candidates must pass both the Dysrhythmia and Medication tests, each consisting of 20 questions with a minimum passing score of 85%. These tests will be administered remotely via Zoom. Preparation utilizing the provided study guide is strongly recommended as there is no opportunity for remediation or re-testing.

Additional Requirements

• Flu vaccination is mandatory unless a medical exemption is provided.
• Candidates must have been separated from previous employment with the organization for a minimum of 6 months and be in good standing.

Shift Information

This position requires availability for the day shift, including every other weekend.
