  • Monitor patient progress, document assessments, and adjust care plans accordingly.
  • Assist with post-operative recovery, chronic illness management, and acute care interventions.
  • Respond to emergencies and coordinate with interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes.
  • Communicate effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Demonstrate organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks accurately and efficiently.
  • Make nursing decisions within the scope of licensure and in accordance with established hospital policies and procedures.
  • Attend 75% of nursing staff meetings and partake in in-service education for professional growth and development.
  • Establish a compassionate environment by providing emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients and their families.
  • Promote patient independence by establishing care goals and educating patients and their families on conditions and self-care skills.
  • Document patient care services by charting in patient and department records.
  • Maintain continuity among nursing teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and ongoing needs.
  • Delegate and oversee tasks assigned to nursing assistants, ESTs, and Unit Clerks.
  • This job description is not designed to cover a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities, which may change as needed.
