Position Overview

The Interventional Radiology Technologist is responsible for assisting in a variety of interventional radiology procedures. This role plays a crucial part in delivering high-quality patient care and ensuring patient safety during complex imaging and therapeutic interventions.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain the interventional radiology suite and equipment to ensure readiness for procedures.
• Assist the physician in performing interventional radiology procedures, including patient positioning, setup, and monitoring during the procedure.
• Administer contrast agents and medications as required, under the supervision of the physician.
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation related to procedures and patient care.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control standards to safeguard patients and staff.
• Conduct quality assurance checks on imaging equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
• Provide support and education to patients regarding procedures and post-procedural care.

Qualifications

• Current certification in Radiologic Technology (ARRT) with a specialization in Interventional Radiology.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology related to interventional radiology.
• Experience in a clinical setting, preferably within interventional radiology.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare team members.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Work Schedule

This position requires working a day shift, consisting of five 8-hour shifts per week, typically from 07:00 to 16:00.
