Operating Room Nurse - Traveler

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Operating Room Nurse for a travel assignment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various surgical procedures and be ready to contribute to a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation and maintenance of the operating room.
Provide direct nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures.
Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Monitor patients' vital signs and condition before, during, and after surgery.
Document patient care and surgical procedures accurately in the electronic health record.
Participate in on-call duty as required by unit needs.

Qualifications

Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid nursing license.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in surgery, particularly in Orthopedics, Podiatry, GYN, and general/laparoscopic procedures.
Proficient in circulating; scrubbing experience is a plus.
Certifications: BLS and ACLS required.
Familiarity with EPIC charting system is preferred.
Ability to work flexible hours including day shifts.

Work Environment

This position requires working in a dynamic operating room setting with the potential for exposure to COVID-19 patients. Scrubs are provided, and any color is acceptable during your shifts.

Duration

This is a 13-week travel assignment with full-time hours expected.
