Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Step Down unit. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills and the ability to provide exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to individuals in the Step Down unit.
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
• Monitor patient progress and make necessary adjustments to care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Educate patients and their families on health management and recovery strategies.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of recent nursing experience in a Step Down or similar setting.
• Experience in a Level I Trauma Center is required.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Travel experience is mandatory.
• Experience in large hospital settings is required.

Shift & Schedule

This position is primarily for night shifts, working either 36 or 48 hours per week. Scheduling may vary based on staffing needs.

Additional Information

• Team nursing ratios of 1:12, shared between 2 RNs, 2 LPNs, and a medication nurse.
• Weekend rotations may be required based on operational needs.
• No block schedules are available, but weekend blocks may be considered.
• All travelers must hold a valid nursing license in compliance with NLC guidelines.
• All requests for time off (RTO) must be included at the time of submission.
