• Current Wisconsin RN License
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Job Description

We are seeking experienced nurses to join our dynamic team. This position involves every other weekend and holiday work, as well as 12-hour night shifts. The candidate must be willing to float to other units as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members in the care of patients.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies, procedures, and state laws.
• Document patient care according to established standards.
• Develop, initiate, and implement individualized patient care plans as prescribed by physicians and hospital policies, including education for patients and families.
• Participate in departmental performance improvement activities, which may include shared governance.
• Provide clinical expertise and guidance to other departments to support patients' longitudinal care plans.
• Utilize critical thinking regarding patient safety and experience, and escalate issues through the appropriate chain of command as necessary.

Holiday coverage is required.
