Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Certified Surgical Technician to join our team. This position plays a crucial role in supporting surgical procedures by ensuring the operating room is set up and maintained in a sterile and organized manner.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain surgical instruments and equipment.
- Assist surgical teams during operations, providing necessary instruments and supplies.
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and safety standards.
- Assist with patient positioning and draping, in accordance with surgical team directives.
- Conduct inventory management for surgical supplies and instruments.
- Participate in call rotation and support floating to other units as needed.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Surgical Technician.
- Current Certified Surgical Technician certification is required.
- Strong knowledge of surgical instruments, equipment, and sterilization processes.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to review candidates with pending state licenses.
Work Schedule
The position requires a shift from 6:45 AM to 4:15 PM, with potential 4 to 9-hour shifts. Participation in call rotation is necessary.
Additional Information
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is preferred.
- Scrub colors and dress code will be communicated upon hiring.
- Parking arrangements will be provided for all team members.
