Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse with experience in stepdown units to provide high-quality patient care. The successful candidate will be required to float between multiple units, including medical, stepdown/ICU, and surgical/oncology units.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients in stepdown and medical units, ensuring adherence to best practices and safety standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to plan and implement patient care strategies.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as necessary.
• Float between designated units as required, primarily focusing on stepdown patient care rather than heavy ICU cases.
• Possibly assume charge nurse responsibilities on the medical-surgical unit, with cross-training available.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of stepdown nursing experience is required; ICU experience is preferred.
• Prior travel nursing experience is required.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory.
• Ability and willingness to float between various units as needed.
• Previous charge nurse experience is preferred; must be open to training for charge roles.

Additional Information

The candidate will be working with an electronic medical record system, specifically Epic. All requested time off or scheduling requests must be arranged prior to submission.
