Description

Medical-Surgical / Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN)

This position is for a Medical-Surgical / Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in nights. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with a diverse range of patient needs, including chronic ventilated patients requiring respiratory support.

Contract Details

Contract Length: 13 weeks
Start Date: December 7, 2026
Shift: 3x12 or 4x12 available (19:00 - 07:30)

Responsibilities

Provide high-quality care to adult and geriatric patients on a telemetry unit.
Monitor patient health status and provide timely interventions as necessary.
Recognize and respond effectively to changes in patients' health conditions.
Work collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals.
Float within specialty as required, accommodating lower acuity needs.

Qualifications

Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse (RN) required; first-time travelers accepted.
Current RN license in the state of Maryland.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required.
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.

Additional Details

Average Daily Census: 22 patients
Patient-to-Nurse Ratio: 1:5
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
Holiday Requirement: Must work as scheduled
Electronic Medical Record (EMR) System: EPIC proficiency required
