Position Overview

Join our team as a Medical/Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) in a dynamic acute care setting, where you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care. This position involves working three 12-hour shifts from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM, including a holiday rotation and every other weekend.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients with various medical and surgical needs.
• Maintain patient safety and comfort while ensuring a positive experience.
• Utilize the Epic electronic health record system for charting and documentation.
• Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team to promote optimal patient outcomes.
• Adhere to established nursing practices, protocols, and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical/surgical nursing role is required.
• Licensure: A current South Carolina license or compact license must be obtained prior to employment.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications are required.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in using the Epic electronic health record system is necessary.

Additional Information

• This role does not require on-call duties or floating to other units.
• Travelers may expect the facility to call off one shift per two-week period.
• While block scheduling requests can be made, approval is not guaranteed.
• Travelers should be aware of potential assignments to emergency response teams during hurricane season (June through November).
• Qualified local candidates will be considered at a reduced rate.
