We are seeking a qualified Radiation Therapist to join our team in providing exceptional patient care within the Radiation Therapy unit. This role involves working with patients to administer radiation treatments as part of their cancer care plan, ensuring safety and comfort throughout the process.

Responsibilities

• Administer radiation treatments to patients as per the prescribed plans.
• Monitor patient responses to treatment and document progress accurately.
• Maintain and operate radiation therapy equipment according to safety protocols.
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to create and implement treatment plans.
• Educate patients and their families about the treatment process and answer any questions they may have.
• Ensure compliance with all medical and safety regulations in the treatment environment.
• Float to other locations as needed to provide coverage based on patient schedules and staffing requirements.

Shift Information

This position requires availability from Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM. Times may vary depending on the need to stagger shifts for optimal patient coverage. Flexibility is essential to accommodate coverage at multiple locations when required.

Qualifications

• Current certification and licensure as a Radiation Therapist.
• Experience in radiation therapy preferred, with demonstrated competencies in the required tasks.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
• Ability to float between multiple locations based on staffing needs.

Additional Information

All staff may be required to float to other units and locations according to census needs. This role emphasizes the importance of adaptability and teamwork to ensure comprehensive patient care across our services.

Note: The facility will remain open on the Sunday before Thanksgiving to continue treatment through Wednesday of that week, with Thursday and Friday closed.
